GENERAL RP RULES: askscythia.deviantart.com/jour…

:bulletblack: Info about her land and her people :bulletblack:
Scythia was a nation with no limits. Her vast lands encompassed what today is Russia, Ukraine, Kazahstan, the northern Caucasus area and parts of the modern Belarus, Romania and Poland; she is also said to be related to Hungary and nearby nations, by the legend of Hunor and Magior. All the territory from the Danube to the Altai Mountains was her domain, more than less, if we count Scythia and Scythia Minor as her land.
Scythians received many names, depending on the location of the tribes sometimes: they were called Sakas by Persians, Skuthes by Greeks, Aškuz by Assyrians, Sai by Chinese...
The people in her lands were nomads who gathered in tribes. Many sorts of tribes populated Scythia: Scythians, Sarmatians, Alans, Ossetians, Huns... all of them warrior tribes and fearful fighters who wandered freely around the endless steppes of Scythia. They varied very much and were a mix of Asian and European, genetically; it is thought that their origins are mainly Asian, because the Altai mountains could have made the different tribes lose contact and eventually become different. What is for sure known is that they are descendants of (or related to) the Cimmerian.
Not only men, but some women fought too among the Sarmatians; this is believed to be the origin of the Amazons legend.
Not much is known about the nation's history from its inhabitants' point of view (the tribes didn't register anything in documents, their histories were individual for each tribe and all the info comes from second or third hands); the only details known for sure are that Scythia's origins were around the 8th century BC and its disappearance, around the 4th AD. From then on, the notion of Scythia began to fade.
The Scythian language was assimilated by the Turkic tribes, and nowadays the closest language to Scythian is the one spoken in Nort Ossetia, in the Caucasus.

:bulletblack: About her :bulletblack:
-Human name: Aygyzel ('Beautiful Moon' in Hunnic)
-Other names: Itugen (Hunnic goddess of Moon and Earth), Api (Scythian goddess of Earth) and other goddess names. She'll answer to these names, but only with the tribes. It has got a reason, which shall be explained later. Nicknames are welcome if you have a close relationship with her.
-Human age: around her mid twenties
-Relationship status: Taken ( :iconasknubia: )
-Physical appearance:
She's got Eurasian features, tending towards Asian.
Short of height (1,55 m.) and normal weight (60 kg); her body is pure tendon and muscle earned with tough training, she's quite strong.
Black, plain, waist-long hair, which is often loose or braided; slanty amber eyes with a great sight.
She's got lots of scars, result of the countless battles she's been in. The most impressive ones, however, are not battle scars: she had her back tattooed the Hunnish way, with a knife and blue ink, and now her lower back shows a swirly blue design. (I don't know yet if I'll just draw it or wait until someone asks to see it...)
-Clothing: It's always something that will be warm and comfortable for riding. Many times it will have gold ornaments, even more so if it's her traditional clothing.
-Personality:
Scythia is a tough woman, raised in battle and in constant movement. She can't stay for long in a single place, therefore she's difficult to find. The only time where you'll know where to find her will be Winter, when she stays with the sedentary tribes of the West until Spring arrives. But the rest of the year, if you spot a dark-haired woman riding a pure white horse, fast like the wind, through the limitless steppes, it's probably her. Sometimes you will be able to find her staying temporarily with a random tribe.
She's been through many battles that have left her body scarred and have made her fierce and tough. There's something to point out: she does fight in wars with other nations or empires. However, she won't intervene in wars between tribes, for all of them are her people and it's her duty to protect them, not to help them kill each other. So if she were to take part in a tribe battle, it'd only be to protect those who don't fight. She doesn't like gratuitous bloodshed either. There's no honor in that.
She's well received in any of the tribes, especially among the Huns, since they think that she's a shaman or even Itugen, because she's been young for as long as they can remember and she's a wise woman; they know that if they need her help and advice, she'll help. She knows she's not a goddess, of course, but she won't try to convince them otherwise, because some tribes wouldn't hesitate to make her a prisoner or force her to marry. So it's more of a safety thing than liking being worshipped.
She's an excellent huntress. She's got that legendary ability of the Scythians and Huns for shooting arrows while riding on a horse, and she's also pretty good with swords. She's worked very hard to be able to fight like that, and she will teach you if you want, but don't expect it to be easy. You'll have to demonstrate that you deserve being taught first!
If there is a thing she values a lot in a person, it's being hardworking and tenacious, be it in war or not. Loyalty, honesty, braveness. That's the key to earn her respect and, if you are persistent enough, her confidence and love.
Her attitude towards people she doesn't like is very cold and harsh, although she's normally blunt to the point she can be rude. Even if you're friends with her, she's brutally honest, but she tries to think twice before talking like that to her friends. She's more open and gentle towards her closest friends.
She's prone to mood swings, given the lack of unity of the tribes and their constant quarrels. Normally, she's serious and a bit cold; if there's peace, she'll be warmer than usual and smile and laugh more, but when having a bad day... well, be careful with her. She might yell to you for no apparent reason, and if she doesn't like you you'd better run or she might beat you up. She's the kind of woman that gets angry with the whole world.

History:
((Soon...))

Relationships: (WIP)
:bulletwhite:China: She despised him because he called her people the Xiong Nu, the Bad Slaves. She thought he had no right to do so, and she thought that he had become a shameful weakling, believing he's safe under that Great Wall, a prison instead of a defense. In her late centuries, she began opening up to him, though; some Chinese provinces would sign peace treaties with the nearest Scythian tribes and they would even establish commercial relationships.
:bulletwhite: Rome: he used to be a strong nation she'd respect, but he slowly decayed and she lost respect to him. Many times she has encouraged some of her tribes to help Germanics, Dacians and others just to make things difficult for Rome. Eventually she helped Attila against him, infuriated because of Attila's histories about how his people treated him when he was a host in Rome. She was one of the many that contributed to his final weakening and fall, and she could have reached and conquered the very city of Rome with Attila, but Attila gave up and she came to the conclusion that Rome was weak enough. Out of pity, she retreated and didn't try to end what had been Attila's life project.
:bulletwhite: Ancient Greece: She thinks Ancient Greece is pretty weak but she actually is curious about her. Scythian rulers were fascinated with Greek culture and sometimes tried to imitate it.
:bulletwhite: Byzantine: She used to think Byzantine was weak, given how they were 'just a part of the Roman empire', but the Byzantium battle made her change her mind. The Byzantines put up a lot of fight, not fearing the Huns numeric superiority, eventually winning. Such display of braveness made Scythia respect, and even admire, Byzantine greatly.
:bulletwhite: Germania: She has allied with him lots of times against Rome. Aside from the 'let's-go-bug-Rome' thing, she has always respected and admired Germania's ability in battle and his brilliant strategy. Whiiiich doesn't really mean they did get completely along. Scythian-Goth quarrels were legendary.
:bulletwhite: Other ancient nations: She's polite but distant to most of them.
:bulletwhite: Present nations: She's normally polite to them (or tries to), until she has formed an opinion about them.
She especially likes the nations that are today in what used to be her territory. She'll consider those her family, her children and heirs even, and will do her best to protect them like she used to do with the tribes.

Other notes:
-She barely can write or read. This is because the tribes of her land pass their knowledge onto their offspring by oral traditions, therefore writing isn't needed. What's more, they think of it as an unsafe thing. But if needed, she'll try her best to learn to read and write as fast as she can.
People used to say Scythians didn't know poetry. What happened was that it wasn't written, but they actually knew of poetry and liked it.
-There are lots of mythological creatures in her land: griffins, Arimasps (one-eyed humanlike creatures), half-woman-half-dragon warriors... Although she used to believe in them with no reserves, the centuries of travelling and not seeing them have made her kind of skeptic. Therefore, it marvels and amuses her how easily other nations believe the stories they hear about that kind of creatures.
-She likes animals like mooses, deer and wild boars, but she especially likes horses, since they are worshipped in many tribes. She owns a white mare called Chägelghän, which means 'fast like the wind'. There's nothing she enjoys more than riding Chägelghän through the steppes, feeling free and powerful, for days, weeks and months.
-She's got weapons. A curvy, small Asian bow (with its corresponding gorytos) and a short sword. They were essential to survive back in her times.
-Goldsmithing is a hobby of hers. Not only is it relaxing and creative, but it's also a good ability: if she needs to trade, she can always trade jewellery for whatever she needs. Sometimes she settles somewhere and spends a couple of days crafting jewels.
Another hobby of hers (or habit, rather) is philosophizing. Usually when she's alone, with Chägelghän for only company, she'll feel the need to hear a human voice, and so she'll begin thinking aloud and eventually simple thoughts develop into deeper, existential things.
-She has a hidden fear: she's afraid of drowning in the sea. Being used to endless extensions of land, the sea is too much for her because she feels defenseless, and the water a horse can't drink from can't be good, or so she thinks.

((Now for a few more things and some apologies:
I'd like to keep her relationships a bit more historically accurate than my other accounts. I know I'm pretty much ignoring this rule; what I mean is that I will roleplay and make friends with whoever wishes so, but nations that share historical relationships with Scythia will have a preference.
I freakin' love RPing. I will do both script and lit RPs. And I'm willing to try all kinds of new things so if you want to know what will and will not do, just ask via notes.
Same for personal stuff, drop a note and I'll reply asap. Want my Skype? Note. Want to discuss anything OOC? Note. Don't be shy~
Romes, Chinas and maybe other nations: If you feel like arguing, she's your girl~

Sorry if she isn't very accurate. I don't have a lot of info -I don't speak English as my first language so it's difficult to understand what I find in English, and its SO DAMN IMPOSSIBLE to find good stuff in Spanish -and all I find is written by or based on 'civilised' writers [Herodotus and Greek/Roman writers, who thought of any other kind of tribes as barbaric], therefore VERY biased. But I'm doing my best to find more things to develop her.
Her history. AAAAGH! Soon I will have enough info gathered to make at least a decent bio for her as a nation. t probably won't be very right, because of the difficulties above (scarce info, language barrier, biased, incomplete... OTL)
Sorry if her attitude bothers you. I don't intend to hurt anyone. Remember that her opinion isn't mine~
And last but not least. Me no shpeak Engrish. Not as my native language at least xD
I know English and Spanish so I can-and will- RP in both of them. However I don't know Hunnish, Russian or any language Scythia could speak, other than a few words taken from books. Hello, goodbye and little more. So forgive (and correct, if you wish so) any kind of mistake you may find here. I'll be infinitely thankful~

Duuude, this is so long. If you read all of this you get a virtual hug :tighthug:))
((ahaha about time I tried to write a new prompt huh)) Aygyzel was sitting near a river, absentminded, unaware of your pressence. Her hair appeared shiny and wet from the recent bath, and water trickled down her skin- one could spot most of the blue eagle on her back and many war scars on her body, since she was wearing only the most basic garments, trying to make the most of the shy winter sun. She was looking down; it was other scars that kept her busy. Her fingers traced every stretch mark on her belly, thighs and breasts, as each one of them brought a memory of life inside her, a toothless smile and first words. Her children had brough

Hey guys! Yes, I'm still alive. And I intend to make my muse alive too. That calls for a new beginning. I'm sorry for this, but I'm deleting all my old messages because they make me incredibly sad. And  hopefully, I'll come up with a prompt or two soon! Meanwhile, feel more than welcome to send me a starter or something! <3

((yes please I wanna draw something different from my handful of OCs and I could use some inspiration. The other time I did this it was a lot of fun, so let's jump on the bandwagon again yes? So, you know how it goes, gimme your muse/one of your muses and I'll draw a baby of theirs and my muse's. Have fun! <3 EDIT: You can ask for any of my Hetalia muses, as in Aixa and Aygyzel, but you can also ask for a lovechild with my fantroll Niniel, just for the sake of variety and silly shenanigans. This is the first reference I've made of her: http://cobaltchild.tumblr.com/post/88414878888/just-thought-i-should-put-this-pic-here-for Again, have

((Eeeeh want to rp with a young Viking?)(
((sure, sweetie -w-))
Loglan groaned. his ship had gotten stuck somewhere and he was damn sure he wouldn't be home for the end of the week if he didn't get out of here. his father would be furious! NO SAILING AROUND OR YOU ANYMORE YOUNG MAN he could hear scandinavia shout in his mind already. just where the hell was he?
he looked around, green eyes taking in the unfamiliar surroundings and trying to make something of it. it didn't work. what had he been thinking, sailing up an unknown river like that?

and then it started to rain too, quickly soaking the sailorsjacket as the boy didn't get his furcoat fast enough. he shivered, curling up in a little ball of fur as he saw something-someone?- coming his way.

his hand reached for his axe. he had been given an axe, for some reason, even after he had explained his father he rather fought with a sword.
the axe wasn't there, but he did find a caledonian sword that he quickly picked up as he rose to standing position.
now he could see it was, indeed, a person coming his way.
great, he thought as he wiped the wet strands of fiery red hair out of his face, now I'm not coming home late, now I'm not going to get home at all. he was, after all, mainly defenceless. and vikings did not have a very pleasant name among most folks.
could he pretend to be a celt then? he did have the right looks. the hair, the eyes, the skin, even the blue tattoos and the sword!

but this ship was so obviously a small version of a drakker he very much doubted if it would work.

((woah, I did a long starter!))

The shape he had seen was that of a woman riding on a horse.

She, too, had seen him, and she had also noticed he was not defenseless in the least. He had a sword, which he might or might not know how to use, but one thing she did know- she would not be the one to test it. And although she knew not who this child could be, he was clearly a stranger. A runaway, perhaps, as she couldn't see anyone else near him. And if he was... it was not a wise idea to end him, be it through direct methods- shooting him from where she was, that is- or by leaving him alone.

Perhaps there was a little voice in the back of her mind, one telling her that he was only a child, that she couldn't leave him in the rain, alone and terrified. But she drowned it with the expertise of a thousand years. She would do as it dictated, but only because doing otherwise could risk a war.

Or so she told herself.

She pretended to not have noticed him and dismounted, her figure pretty visible through the sheets of rain. She busied herself with her mount, as usual, and patted its neck while it drank from the river, her eyes lost in the distance. And then, her voice rose through the distance between them.

"Who are you, child?"
